Our Cobra team fared badly in the SCC 7s tournament. This is probably our worst performance in many years. Injuries to 5 key players on the first day ( the two Kedah Fijians -Peta and Sai, Pak Yah, Gabuk and Jeng Jeng)

Qualified for the main draw on Sunday to decide whether we play in the Cup or Plate.
Sunday 5th November
Qualifying - Lost - HK Dragons 0-24 (Cup semi-finalist)
Plate QF - Lost - Palymra 0-35 (Plate Champions)
The other Malaysian teams; NS Wanderers fared equally bad by losing all their Pool games and also lost in the Jug Semi finals. Sandakan Eagles, playing with a squad of 11 foreigners (7 Fijians, 2 Kiwis and 2 Somoans), fared better by qualifying for the Cup but lost to Durban Harlequins 0-22 in the Quarter finals. |
