Varsity Vipers is a proud rugby club within the Auckland Region. We were established in 1888 having celebrated our 130th anniversary this year. We have a proud history of producing great rugby players with 20 All Blacks and winning the Gallaher Shield Auckland Club competition 19 times.
Varsity Vipers have been in the final 5 times in the last 7 years and taking it out in 2014 and 2017. Easily being the most dominant and consistent rugby club within Auckland in recent times. Although we set high standards between ourselves and respect our history we play for the enjoyment of the game and the camaraderie it brings off the field. This is the 3rd COBRA 10s tournament we are attending and have loved every one of them.
We have managed to make the cup semifinals in our last two tournaments and we are looking at taking another step further at cracking the final this year.

KL Saracens Rugby Club was established in 2007 with a mission to open up the sport of rugby to all in our community, with a particular focus on junior player development.
The club has operated since day one on a no-fee basis, generously supported by various sponsors over the last 11 years, ensuring that there are no barriers to participation in our great game, regardless of background or socio-economic status. During this time, we have seen over 1,500 junior players progress through the club development pathway and are delighted to note that no fewer than 9 of our squad for the 2019 COBRA 10s tournament are products of this system.
KL Saracens is a proud member of the Saracens Global Network, formed in 2013 by English Premiership Champions Saracens, which brings together nine clubs who share the Saracens name and the Saracens values from developing rugby nations.
The clubs are all seen by Saracens as leaders both on the field, and off it, and are part of the driving force behind the growth of the sport in their respective nations. Together the Global Network aims to drive the growth of rugby across the globe.
KL Saracens Rugby Club is honoured to have been invited back to the COBRA 10s for 2019 and looks forward to another great weekend of top rugby in one of the marquee events in the Malaysian Rugby calendar.

Vredenburg Rugby Club was establish in 1998. This means that season 2018 is our 20th year. 2018 is the club’s 20th anniversary!
Having started in 1998 with just enough players to make 3 teams, it is with great pride that we now have more than 150 registered players at our club. We field four teams on a Saturday and have an old boys’ team and a 10’s team that plays in a social league that is an inspiration to the club.
The club can point to a number of players who started here that went on to play first class rugby and even represent our union in the Currie Cup. But while our club has come a long way, it is not the numbers and accolades that matter to us: it is the fun! The proof of this is that Vredenburg RFC manages to transition a higher number of players through from junior to senior rugby than most other clubs.
We have a development programme that benefits our primary and high schools in our town nl Vredenburg Primary, Panorama Primary, Masipatisane Primary, Eden Primary, Weston High, Louwville High and Vredenburg High.
Vredenburg Rugby club qualify in 2010 to play in the Super League competition of Boland Rugby Union and in 2013 they won the the league to play in the Premier League which is the top competition of the union.
